Study as much French as possible before arriving!

Why did you choose INSA Lyon? Fields of study, laboratories, school reputation, experiencing French life?

I wanted to participate in a research project and INSA had the perfect opportunity for that. My academic schedule was half classes and half research, so I was able to spend a lot of time in the laboratory.

What did you enjoy during your INSA Lyon experience?

I enjoyed meeting exchange students from all over the world. I was exposed to not only the French language and culture, but those of so many other countries.

What did you enjoy in Lyon?

Lyon is such an adorable city with plenty of sights to see but without the stress of huge crowds. I also loved how walkable it is in the city, with amazing access to public transportation.

What advice would you offer to future exchange students?

Study as much French as possible before arriving! Most people can speak English, but daily life is so much more convenient when you are familiar with the local language.
