Why did you choose INSA Lyon? Fields of study, laboratories, school reputation, experiencing French life?
First reason is to live an abroad experience. When I knew about the opportunity to study in Lyon I felt very excited because I read lots of good feedbacks about INSA university. I was sure it would have been a good choice to testing myself. I chose my exams in the Department of Industrial Engineering because the subjects are close to the italian ones.
What did you enjoy during your INSA Lyon experience?
Firstly, I very like the way of teaching. In french you prefer to have shorter exams (you call them Moodles) but not only in a theoric way but also in practical way. I was firstly very scared about the large use of computer you did at lessons, but now it is quite normal after 3 months here. I really like the avialability of the restaurant's workers, they are really good people, and the houses when we live are not bad. There is all the necessary to live in comfort. I spend a lot of time for burocratical reasons (french number, bank, CAF, transportation card) but after this first things to solve everything is going good. I'm really enjoying here and I feel sad if I think that I will leave in two months.
What did you enjoy in Lyon?
Transportation efficiency, Hotel de Ville, le Vieux Lyon, the bike sharing, and the food is not so bad.
What advice would you offer to future exchange students?
When in INSA you should just have some competences with the computer. Moreover, read the experiences of the other guys in Erasmus. They could be useful to understand how to organise yourself when coming here.
